Recently I took part in a photographic challenge at the Images Alberta Camera Club. We had to create ten images based on ten different topics.
I decided to create a set of ten photos, all inspired by an old photograph that I saw in my grandfather's album.
I never met my grandfather. He passed away before I was born. My connection with him is through the photographs that he captured and created with his medium format film camera. He used to develop, print, and experiment with film photography. In the photograph, that inspired me for this project, my grandmother was having a conversation with herself! I do not know exactly what technique my grandfather, Jyotirmoy Basu, used to create that photo in an era when Photoshop was not even in the mind of Sci-Fi novelists.
I dedicate this set to you, Bhaiya (that's what I call my grandfather)!
