Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia
In June 2017 I set out to explore a part of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia with a fellow photographer. As Canada is celebrating 150 years of confederation, we thought this would be an apt way to know this beautiful country a little better.
During the weeklong trip we visited some amazing landscapes, historic sites and lighthouses. Below are some photographs from this trip.
I decided to pick up two film cameras to document this trip. For the medium format Mamiya 645pro I packed some Kodak Portra 160 and for the Nikon F5 there were enough Ilford HP5plus in my suitcase. So, all colour photographs are from medium format negatives, while the black and white ones came from the 35mm camera.

"Let's create a confederation"
Confederation Centre Art Gallery, Charlottetown, have a replica of the room where the forefathers of Canada met for the Charlottetown Conference in 1864. The actual conference was held at the Province House, which is closed for renovation and will open for public again in 2020.
Église de Notre Dame Du Mont Carmel
We set out for the North Cape Coastal Drive (350 km) loop during the third day of our trip. Among many scenic stops above is one of the major Acadian churches of PEI. The church was constructed in 1812 and has a burial ground on one side. We spent some busy time with our cameras around this site.
